MY STORY




I was born and raised in snowy Minnesota but came out here, 14 years ago, for the West Coast sun and sand! After quickly realizing there was no sun, nor sand, I ended up staying for the momentary glimpses of Mt. Rainier, the fresh ocean breeze and that unmistakable scent of "anything's possible" in the air.



I am a UW graduate, where I studied Prosthetics/Orthotics. After doing my residencies at Harborview and the VA, I practiced at a local private company for the last 5.5 years. It's been a great run and something I probably would have ended up doing for the rest of my working life. However, something changed. Two years and 4 months ago. I had a baby. A baby girl, to be precise. She turned my world upside down, rightside up and taught me a few things along the way. One is, before you know it, you are going from sleepless nights with a newborn to negotiating with a 2 year old--in short, life is short. Two is, you should spend your day doing what you love and laughing as much as possible--because laughing makes you and others around you happy! Three is, kids grow soooo fast! So, be smart and buy second-hand, because there is no shortage of all your favorite brands in excellent condition at a fraction of the cost.

So, with savvy moms, dads, grandma's, friends, caretakers of our little birds in mind, I have created a shop to keep balance in your life and reinforce the importance of recycling in our little ones. But I need you to make it happen! You are the main suppliers of my shop! I can't stock the awesome things I  stock without you! Please read the consignment info for more details, but in a nutshell, I buy your child's gently worn items in exchange for cash or store credit (15% more). I also take larger or more expensively priced items (over $25) on consignment.
